Using the Faculty Crossing
The Faculty Crossing's primary purpose is to support collaboration. It provides a welcoming space to brainstorm with co-authors, plan interdisciplinary partnerships, and to make other connections with colleagues. Visitors are welcome to work independently but are reminded that collaboration is not always quiet!
Most of the time, the Faculty Crossing is an open workspace. However, there are times when the space is reserved for specific activities like the Forum’s Writing Groups or the monthly FACET call out meeting. A calendar listing these events can be found here.
To better support open and organic collaboraton, reserved times are kept to a minimum. Put plainly, the Faculty Crossing is not a space to hold department meetings or staff trainings; it is a place for community and innovation.
